I went to high school in Lakeland, Florida and noted that all the years I lived in Florida no hurricanes crossed the center of the state. Then it seemed like five hurricanes cris-crossed that area one year. I’m so glad to see your home made it through the storms. Hurricanes aren’t fun at all.

Glad you came through without too much damage. Having water, especially hot water (thanks to that gas water heater in the attic) does make up for a lot when the power is out.

You’re right, Tammy, it is frustrating. Fortunately in the other two storms, the electricity was only knocked out for two days, and then a few hours. Each time it came back on, there were loud cheers!

How frustrating it must have been to have water nearby, but no electricity to pump it out! I have a well too, and having no water during repairs a time or two has been tough. And then to cook on a Coleman stove in your own kitchen must’ve been hard. Glad you guys made it through with only minor damage! :0)
